From Robert Ford, author of The World of Hek series, comes a tale quite different from any World of Hek adventure yet. Set in 1799, The Damned Treasure is a magical adventure on the dangerous high seas with the crew of The Holy Terror.
Immediately following the events in 2022’s Ease the Pain, freshly winged Mercy wished to see her man again, never suspecting that she would be thrown 200 years back in time to conduct her search from a pirate ship full of magical beings! Mercy becomes an unlikely ally in the pirates’ search for the treasure of the legendary City of Gold, El Dorado! Accepting her into their adventure are a time-traveling pirate captain, an immortal Viking, a Voodoo Queen, the queen of France, Marie Antoinette, and many others.
All have wishes of a better life, but in true Hek fashion, nothing is easy when dealing with the wish-granting Hek! This adventure is fraught with danger from blood-thirsty mobs, sadistic guards, the world-killing Jörmungandr, ravenous werewolves, and demonic harpies at every turn. Luckily, the crew of pirates are soon assisted by Captain Jack Nelson, Morgan le Fay, vampire Vincent Morávek, and a host of others as they traverse Paris, Australia, Ilha Grande, El Dorado, and an island of imprisoned goddesses in their pursuit of a damned treasure!
is a bloody, violent tale of a soldier just trying to retire from service. Unfortunately for him, Hek hasn't finishing granting his wish: to be just like his father. Captain Jack Nelson had no idea who his father really was. Ease the Pain has got it all: soldiers, violence, assassinations, demons, sex, vampires, time travel, pirates, drug addiction, loss, and death. The sequel to The World of Hek: First Wish should be available summer, 2021.
In the first issues of this reboot, Kenny Bolland, a New Orleans teen, makes a devastating wish for the worst Mardi Gras ever. What ensues is a literal bloodbath, gifted to Kenny by the wish-granting demon, Hek.

On the left, you will see Mario next to our Christmas tree. My daughter, Sandy, who is much better with a computer than I, was the one who created the cover above. Most of my other covers use drawn. There is an orange cat it the story, too, but with a different name. I wrote this sweet story about an old couple adopting an orphan, but never published it. Why? It needs to be an illustrated book, filled with nice, Disney-esque artwork. One day, perhaps, I'll get around to finishing it.
This is a collection of short stories about one families dealings with the demon Hek. Your wish is granted: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D5UJ5E4/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i2
This is one of the only covers not created by me at all! It was created by a defunct publishing company. This hilarious book is still available here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DPIM6Z6/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i1

This is one of my favorite covers I've ever done. Maybe my all-time favorite. As a gift, my brother, Adam, even blew up the picture one time and had it framed. It's hung in my house ever since. In the 90s, I wanted to be an actor, writer, and artist, but didn't put enough focus on any one of them. One project that came out at that time was The Ledge, about a comic book creator struggling with depression. The Ledge was a comic book, a screenplay, and very nearly a movie.
This issue was published and sold in local comic book stores. I used the cover as an inside cover for the 2020 First Wish book.
Here is the VERY FIRST COVER!!! This was drawn by Robert Ford and inked by his brother, Adam Ford.
